What We Do
Trap. Neuter. Return.
We facilitate Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), low cost spay/neuter, and educate on the humane management and care of community cats.
Every cat altered through TNR represents fewer kittens born to suffer outdoors, fewer animals entering overcrowded shelters, and a healthier, more stable community cat population. Lucky Cat is prepared to provide education, resources, guidance, and spay/neuter assistance whenever possible to prevent future suffering and stop the cycle of reproduction. While we care deeply about every cat and every person who reaches out, there are many things that fall outside our mission, expertise, funding, and volunteer capacity.
What We Do
☘️ Provide affordable or subsidized spay/neuter services when funding permits.
☘️ Teach safe, humane, and effective trapping techniques for community cats.
☘️ Transport cats to and from spay/neuter drop-off point to clinic.
☘️ Ensure cats receive basic surgery-related veterinary services, including rabies/FVRCP vaccinations and ear-tipping for community cats in traps.
☘️ Educate caretakers and the public about community cat behavior, colony management, and population control.
☘️ Work collaboratively with property owners, caretakers, businesses, neighborhoods, and animal welfare organizations to create long-term solutions.
☘️ Identify additional resources that may be available in the community.
What We DON'T Do

Take in cats/kittens. We are not a rescue and we do not take ownership of free roaming cats or cats that belong to someone else.

Remove or relocate cats.

Provide temporary fosters.

Act as a food bank.

Pay veterinary bills for owned pets.

Provide emergency housing for people and their pets.

Assume financial responsibility for TNR cats after surgery.

Trap cats on private property without permission.

Respond immediately to every request, especially when operating with volunteers.

Reverse months or years of cat overpopulation overnight. The problem took time to develop, and it will take time, resources, and persistence to bring it under control.
